Details about the church
Our history
The early beginnings of the Evangelical Church – Volkovo date back to the nineties. During that period, the pastoral service over this group of believers was performed by Risto Petrovski. After his departure, Aleksandar Tolmachev took care of the flock. In 2012, Pastor Sokrat Apostolovski and his wife Lena took over the church and continued to serve the believers and the people in that part of the city.
At that time, the church held its services in a small warehouse. As a result of God's grace and the generosity of many, in 2018, EC - Volkovo received its own church building. With the help of Socrates and Lena, the following activities are developed in the church: regular services, Bible studies, prayer classes, children's camps, and more.
The pastor of the church in Volkovo is Sokrat Apostolovski. In 1984, he married Lena. After believing in the Lord Jesus, they began to actively serve in the church and in the activities related to it, since the distant 1996. In 1999, together with other brothers, he became one of the founders of the Christian organization "Royal Scouts" and in the first four years of its establishment, he served as the national commander of the organization.
He also founded the church “Elim-Skopje” with Pastor Jonathan Vlaisavljevic. Between 2004 and 2006, he served as director of the addiction center “Challenge for Youth.” At the same time, Socrates and Lena serve in many children's ministries and as missionaries among the Roma people.
In 2012, they were called to take over the church in Volkovo and have been fully investing themselves, helping the church thrive and grow. Today, the church already has regular worship services, prayer meetings, children's classes, women's gatherings, and other activities.
