The pastor of the Evangelical Church - Kavadarci is Dime Nakov from Negotino. He is a husband, father of a daughter and a son, and grandfather of two grandchildren. He became a believer in 2001, and in 2019 he completed a two-year theological education at ETIK, and was later ordained as a pastor, thus fully assuming responsibility and pastoral service in the church. In 2020, the first two deacons were ordained in the church.

Kavadarci, a city with about 30 thousand inhabitants, in which a small percentage of Roma live, distributed in three locations in the city. The premises we rent are located in a part predominantly inhabited by Orthodox Christians, but are still very close to two Roma neighborhoods. This is a brief history of the beginning of the EC in Kavadarci among the Roma.

Details about the church

Church history

In the period from 2009 to 2012, the Evangelical Church - Negotino held large evangelistic events in Negotino. In 2012, a group of Roma from Kavadarci also attended the event. It was established that these people were believers and that they already had a home community and were gathering in the house of Muhamed Kruezi, who also functions as their unofficial pastor. They expressed their desire to join the Evangelical Church and at the same time asked the church to help them rent a meeting room and start official worship services. In the same year, the Evangelical Church - Kavadarci was registered, in which the majority of believers are members of the Roma community. After Muhamed Kruezi left for Germany, the leadership of the church was taken over by the pastor of the Evangelical Church - Negotino, Goran Iliev, and the elders of the church. Among those elders was Dime Nakov, who later took over the leadership of the church and was appointed its pastor.
